U.S Government and Politics was a very informative class that helped me better understand how our countries government,came to be, and how it is being ran today. When I first began this class I have a basic knowledge on  the topic of The United States government, but I honestly didn't feel like I had enough to participate in it. I have learned that civil engagement is very important in our democracy style of government. We had discussions in this class every week and they helped me begin to form an opinion and know how to participate in government discussions.

We had a discussion on the topic of media having an influence on Government policy and we all discussion our opinion on whether or not we thought media was going to have a negative or positive impact on the future. I think that media showcases the negative therefore I think that overall it will negatively impact our Government systems. I had always known that media had an impact on our daily lives, but I had never realized just how much it has impacted our government. This was very eye opening and helped me understand that although there is bad media reports there is still good things happening in our countries government systems.
